Not in the pocket…sorry
Hahhahahaha
Sounds great 👊🏻⚡️
Thanks man. I can’t wait until we play again! Good times
You can Kashmir my led zeppelin any day ;) good stuff
Joe, thanks! I need help. I am 64. I just took up drumming. I love it. It is amazing at the technical level. I bought a set of Tama Swing-stars. But, I have no road-map on set-up. Tuning was nuts. Still is. No hard tuning is apparent to me. I do fail to understand. Bought Drumbot. A dozen tunings... What the heck??? Which? But, the biggest thing is a road-map to my set-up. How am I supposed to arrange the furniture? I do not want to even play until my set-up is correct for fear I will not be easily able to un-due bad habits. I have snare, 3 Toms, High-Hat, Cow-bell and Base. I immediately see my Toms are little to big from right to left. Exactly backwards of you. Can you give me a lay-out, a diagram, or a rule of thumb on set-up? Thanks! Great video! A favorite song of mine, anyway. Mark
Sure what I did when I was a kid was look at all my favorite drummers set ups and set up just like they did.
Dude !!!! WHY???? That woke Bi@#$
For shits and giggles. Of course
@@JoetheDrummr4791 I guess. Just this once lol
Nice 👍👍👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Nice cover! What size toms are you using?
8, 10, 12, 14, 16! Tom’s Snaresv10 & 14
This song is one of the best in my opinion. Love the 6/8 swing feel and the space the drums give the song
Indeed. Thank you!!
Awesome 👌 I ve never heard the tune before, but I may have to download it.
Mike is a homie
@@JoetheDrummr4791 I loaded into Moises. It sounds as if it's brushes being used. ??
Yup. I did my own thing with it
@JoetheDrummr4791 I like doing that as well. It's a cover, not an imitation.
Great tune! Good job Joe!
Thank you sir!
Thank you kindly!!
I started playing again after 20 or so years. It was a rough start. I'm not great. I'm working on it
It’s all good my man. It’s all about how you feel when you’re playing
Joe, you got a case of the base shakes, lol
I know!! lol
@JoetheDrummr4791 I can't remember the tune I covered, but I had the shakes, too, lol Great tunes, btw
Sick! You Should enter the iRock Drum Contest!
Jeez. What’s that? Do you have any info you can share
That Natalie merchant and 10,000 Maniacs unplugged album was pure perfection. A time machine of an album for me. Never get sick of listening to it.
Sick! You Should enter the iRock Drum Contest!
Really? What’s that all about?
Bass drum keeps vibrating camera. Maybe some foam underneath?
Yea. I don’t think it was in the holder thing all the way
With a renewed sense of it! Sounds great.
My brothrr had this song on repeat in highschool even the neighbors complained lol
I saw Candlebox open for Rush in 1994
I have no idea why the kick drum makes the camera jump. It’s must’ve been loose.
@@JoetheDrummr4791 that had to be awesome
Great drum mix.
Thank you kindly
👍
Nice Job! Great tune. I'm working on this as well. The problem is to many doobies and I get lost in the song lmao
That happens sometimes
Don’t forget to like the video here on UA-cam

Great job, man! I've always loved this song, and the groove.
Thank you! I really dig the far middle part. Good times!
If you're interested, Bonnie Raitt covered Angel from Montgomery - it's not by her. "Angel from Montgomery" is a song written by John Prine, originally appearing on his self-titled 1971 album John Prine and covered by a zillion people Dave Matthews, Tedeski, Martin, and Wood, Bonnie Raitt, Norah Jones, etc. etc.:).
Yes. I know!!!
@@JoetheDrummr4791 :)
The cymbal is out of tune man!
Say what?
@@JoetheDrummr4791 I am saying that it was a great performance!

Nice. Thanks for dropping in!
Great groove. Nice job. I have been working on the groove.
Nice. Thank you! Have fun with this signature 16th notes groove!
Excellent job ...love your kit 👍👍
Thank you!
It’s a late 1990’s Yamaha Maple custom kit. With K zildjians all around The heads are way old. The snare head was put on in 2002
You and Mr Garibaldi. I've probably seen Dave play this a dozen times. Lately the band has some nuances on this and other classics that are a little different than this track. New players, no more Rocco Prestia or Chester Thompson. But still the greatest funk band ever. Nice playing Joe. I REALLY like playing on Squib Cakes. Lots of transitions and a crazy latin funk blowing section.
Man. David Garibaldi has been one of my favorites since I was little. It was played in the house all the time
